I’m a Town Planner, based in Cape Town. I’ve been practicing for over a decade, submitting development applications across the city and beyond. I am - first and foremost - a fixer. Someone who can set a gameplan for how to get development rights in place for a particular project, and who can follow through and ensure its success. All development projects (irrespective of how big or small), just need a strong fixer. Someone to come in, sort out the mess, and get stuff done. That’s me, that’s what I do, that’s what I’m good at 😉
Personally, I’m a lot of fun to work with. I’m charming and kind (a true KZN Midlands gentleman at heart), with a naughty and subversive streak, wit, and jokes for days.
I started my career in other private practices 13 years ago. After racking up years of training, professional experience, and Town Planning application approvals, I set up my own Town Planning practice 4 years ago. I spend my days putting together development proposals and Town Planning applications, working in close association with other built environment professionals.
I practice from the beautiful leafy Southern Suburbs (Kenilworth), but work on projects across Cape Town and beyond.
I’ve worked on a wide range of spatial planning projects and land use management applications over the years, for the public and private sectors. This has ranged from large projects (some of provincial, and even national significance) to small projects for individuals, families and small businesses.
I enjoy maintaining a balanced portfolio of small, medium, and large projects, year-in and year-out. I hope that your project finds its way onto my lengthy and ever-growing list of successfully completed projects 😊
My aim in my work is to create beautiful, liveable, mixed-use, higher-density neighbourhoods, which support spatial transformation and urban sustainability imperatives.
The practice is founded on the principles of Integrity, Creativity, and Excellence.
I deal with clients, colleagues, stakeholders, and decision-makers with openness and transparency. Ask me what you need to, and you will get a clear and straightforward answer.
This is less of a principle, and more integral to who I am as a built environment (Town Planning) professional. Coming from creative backgrounds in the arts and in architecture, I inherently tackle all problems with a creative flair.
I pride myself on the quality of my work. No project leaves my desk until I know it can fly on its own.
